Welcome to the Barony of the Lonely Tower!

Who are we? We’re normal people just like you. We work in education, technology, retail, manufacturing, health care, insurance, and so much more. We are your teachers, your waiters, your bank tellers, your help desk staff, your lawyers, and even your next door neighbors. But we also have a love for history. We love to explore how men and women lived and died in times long past. We love to make steel armor, leather armor, and weapons. We love to hold tournaments to showcase our prowess in heavy fighting, rapier, and archery. We love to make tunics, dresses, and other beautiful pieces of clothing that you would have seen on nobility during the Renaissance, and then wear them to show them off to each other. We love to cook dishes that you would have seen in England during the 1500s. We love to research names, create heraldry, and imagine who we would have been in the Middle Ages.

Barony of the Lonely Tower is the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism which serves members in the Omaha and Council Bluffs metropolitan area. We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) educational organization. Officially, our mission is to educate people about life during the Middle Ages, but nothing says that we can’t enjoy what we do and have fun doing it.

Lonely Tower is part of the Kingdom of Calontir. Calontir is the regional chapter of the SCA that represents Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, and the extreme northwestern Arkansas.
